Qld Holiday and a Wedding

20th January 2020.... and Megan, James and Hazel arrived in Australia! The 3 of them enjoyed a week in Sydney - especially Hazel who had not been out here before. At the end of the week I drove to Sydney and we all flew up to Burleigh Heads in Queensland where we settled into our "home away from home" for a week of relaxing, sightseeing and catching up with Hayley and her new partner, Dan.....
Hazel, me, James, Megan
Checking out the view from Burleigh Heads Headland.......
We celebrated Australia Day (note the serviettes!) ......

Hayley and Dan were our guides as we trekked into the Tullebudgera Valley......

I took Hazel to the Currumbin Wildflife Sanctuary...she was very impressed!
A day trip to Byron Bay......view from the Light House
and a photo opportunity of Hazel - too good to miss!.....wonder what the rest of the family thought when she got back to England....
All too soon our week came to an end and we were flying back for "the" wedding!!
6th February 2020....after organising from afar (Megan & James from England), my organising from here and adding last minute touches the day had finally arrived...... a lovely Airbnb at South Moruya Heads had been booked for the week and with the stage set a beautiful and personal wedding day unfolded.......
A few photos at the local beach.....
Family and special friends for the intimate occasion...
With my sisters & Hayley
...with the "Mums"!
Megan & James were thrilled that Nan & Pop (my parents) could make it to their wedding.........
A beautiful and memorable day was had by all......

It was only a few days later and we had to say our "Good byes" as "Mr & Mrs Harte" and Hazel left for their return trip to England......
.......Megan & James plan to return to Australia permanently at end of 2021!....

So that brings me up to date with events from earlier this year.... since then our lives have been turned upside down...... and in my next "yarn" I will fill you in on what I have - or have not - been doing!

Till next time
Asta
